Jim Koziarz

Dr. Koziarz contributes the experience of 25 years at Abbott Laboratories to VG-BIO. At Abbott, Dr. Koziarz served in many capacities in the Diagnostics Division. He was the general manager of two business units, and for the last 12 years he was corporate vice president for research and development. He has experience in product development, manufacturing and customer support, and new technology management. His scientific areas of focus included infectious diseases, endocrinology, cardiology and oncology. Dr. Koziarz has served on the Council for Research and Development of the National Blood Foundation, and he currently is a member of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Advisory Council for DePaul University. He will advise VG-BIO on issues related to technology and business development in the area of life sciences.

Bill Elmore

Advisor and Co-owner

Mr. Elmore has over 25 years of experience as an investor and advisor to early stage technology companies. Mr. Elmore is a founder and General Partner of Foundation Capital, an early stage venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California. He serves on a number of private company boards, and is a past president of the Western Association for Venture Capitalists, and a former director of the National Venture Capital Association. Bill holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSEE and MSEE from Purdue University.
